Windy and sunny today, 24C. The clothes should dry fast on the clothes line. I have to get back to my real garden and do some hoeing. The weeds are growing faster than the vegetables.
Happy Canada Day tomorrow to my fellow Canadians.
Here are my gardening tools. They have been to Costa Rica and Cuba with me. It sure helped to pass the time in the Airports. I made a bunch of yellow centres first then stitched on the petals. I saw a post with black centres that I think I will use for some of my flowers. I see Black Eyed Susans  in the future.

This weeks flowers are blue, my garden will be multi coloured by the time it is finished blooming. I am happy I found One Flower Wednesday to get me back to my garden after a couple years absence.

Small lap sized flower garden quilt I made for my Mother In Law 2004.

Red-naped Sapsucker

This guy woke us up at 5:30 Saturday, tapping on the metal on top of the outhouse which was just across the road from us. At least he didn't show up Sunday. I had to zoom in a lot so he is kind of grainy. I'm still learning to use my new camera.

Interesting rock

Rock someone had split open along Cataract Creek. Each side was about a foot across.

Tunisian Entrelac

Tunisian Entrelac. It's an afghan stitch. The yarn is from a garage sale last year, kind of bright but it was the first thing I could find in the basement the other night.
I saw some baby blankets at a garage sale last weekend a lady was making that a really liked. I did some searching on the internet and found these patterns that look the same.

Calypso-Fairy Slipper Orchids in the back of our campground at Cataract Creek. We saw a couple clumps of these. I love the way they look like little faces.

Camping

Wow, I forgot I had a blog!
We went camping with Randy & Judy last weekend to Cataract Creek in Kananaskis Country. Kind of rainy but we got in a few good hikes while the sun shone. Lots of wildflowers, birds singing and a couple of deer went by every day.
Have to get some mowing done today, the grass won't stop growing and the clouds are building up.
I hear a Flicker and an Oriole in the yard, I'll have to take my camera mowing and try and capture them.
