One Flower Wednesdays

WOW it's been 3 weeks since I posted. With having the grand kids from Winnipeg and Calgary coming for a visit, gardening, camping and just generally being busy with summer, I haven't sewn much. I did do 3 more embroidered centres.  I used patterns from Diana Lampe's book Embroider A Garden, that I borrowed from he library. Liked the book so much I bought a used one from Better World Books, through Biblio.com. Although a different title (Embroidery From the Garden), I am sure it will provide lots of inspiration.
Speaking of Better World Books, the shipping rate was so low, $1.97 to Canada, I almost can't believe it. Check them out at BetterWorldBooks.com.
Better World Books is a for-profit company with a social mission where every purchase you make helps to change the world.

I also got 4 more flowers added to my quilt, total is 40 now.

Looking around the garden this morning, I found this huge Bumble Bee, busily visiting the sunflowers. I'd have to guess it was well over an inch long.
One last picture of this cute mini fuchsia 'Aretes Upright Maria Landy'. The flowers are only an inch long.
