One Flower Wednesdays

I searched through my greens and found I had enough of this one with little yellow flowers to use. If my calculations are correct I should have plenty. As I calculated how many flowers I need to make a twin quilt top, I find I am 60 short, so back to making hexies. I don't think I will worry about having everyone different as I am running out of fabric to use and really don't need to make another trip to the fabric store.
I want to see some progress so will work on sewing the flowers together for awhile and who knows, I might find some interesting fabric at garage sales this summer

Some flowers blooming around the yard.
Love the Icelandic Poppies although they grow in the gravel path, I leave them alone.
I see one of Mac's tennis balls.
While deleting pictures of the Clematis the perfect question mark popped into view just as I hit delete. Had to go to the recycle bin and find it. Interesting what you find in your photos after you take the picture.
I love the colour of this Osteospermum, purple seems to be my colour of choice this year in the annuals I bought.
After buying this Nemesia I discovered it had a beautiful scent. Searching on line I found it is called Fragrant Lady, will buy it again next year, it smells so nice and is such a lovely shade of purple.
Lastly a photo of a Cedar Waxwing who is eating the apple blossoms and seems to be announcing his find. Good thing there are lots of blossoms, hope the hail doesn't come again and ruin the apples this year.

Lovely flowers! And the home-made flowers are nice too ;-). I'm looking forward to see the twin quilt top finished!

Your flowers are beautiful, the ones from fabric, and the ones in your garden, too. How interesting that this bird in the last picture can be found in Canada, too. It also lives here in Germany, but it is quite rare. We call it "Seidenschwanz" (Silk Tail). :-)

Your flowers are beautiful - both the hexies and the real ones. I have a couple of empty pots on my deck. Seeing your blog makes me want to go out and buy a couple more things to plant today.

Beautiful fowers, inside and out. If you'd like to swap some fabric to get more variety, let me know. I've swapped with Kate in Oz, and it was fun!
